# How Bridges work

## What is a Bridge?

Bridges are the **core building block of Starbridge**. They are how Starbridge turns messy public sector data into actionable insights. Think of a Bridge as a smart spreadsheet powered by AI agents that helps you find opportunities, build target account lists, identify decision-makers, and automate go-to-market workflows.
