Starbridge has three methods to track public spend:
  • Purchase Orders: Starbridge collects purchase order files from tens of thousands of government & educational institutions, providing line-by-line details into what is spend with descriptions.
  • Contracts: Starbridge collects contracts with contract expiration dates via custom FOIA requests on governments & educational institutions. In addition to our base coverage, you can run custom requests specific to your market anonymously through Starbridge. More on that here
How do FOIA requests work?
  • Web & Meeting Mentions: Starbridge is able to collect data from the web or meeting mentions to find references to usage of a given company. This is incredibly effective at finding competitor presence, especially in private schools & institutions where they can do not make PO’s or contracts public.
Unlike legacy tools that stop at simple data fields such as $ spend amount and start and end date, in Starbridge you can breakdown contract details, such as whether there is an opt out clause or review detailed information about the sales proposal provided with the contract. By combining these three data sources into a waterfall (looking across all 3): Starbridge is able to acquire 96%+ accuracy of finding competitor usage info.
