Overview

The Starbridge MCP brings your bridges, feed, signals, and buyer research directly into any AI environment that supports the Model Context Protocol, and lets you take the same actions you can take in the Starbridge app. Plug Starbridge into your existing agents, skills, and workflows in minutes — every draft, digest, and prep doc grounded in live Starbridge data. Use the Starbridge MCP to:
  • Ground pre-meeting and outbound prep agents in live Starbridge signals and contacts
  • Pull bridge data into your favorite tool to build vendor-presence maps, attribute breakdowns, or other buyer insight visualizations
  • Surface Starbridge data in places like Slack or wherever your team works today — on a scheduled cadence that fits your workflow
  • Create and update bridges, buyer lists, and account scoring, or invite teammates, without leaving your AI environment

Install the MCP

The Starbridge MCP installs as a custom connector in any client that supports MCP with OAuth. Starbridge skills are delivered through the MCP itself, so there’s nothing else to install.

Open connector settings

In Claude, go to Customize → Connectors.

Add a custom connector

Click Add custom connector and paste the connector URL:

Authorize via OAuth

Click Connect and complete the OAuth flow with your Starbridge credentials.
Some organizations restrict who can add custom connectors. If the Connect button is greyed out, you don’t have permission to add it yourself — ask your Claude admin to either add the Starbridge connector for your whole organization or grant you permission to add custom connectors.

What’s supported

You can do everything through the MCP that you can do in the Starbridge app, including:
  • Bridges — create, update, duplicate, and delete bridges; add and edit columns; run rows; share bridges and organize them into folders; and pull rows and data from every bridge you have access to.
  • Feed — pull your Starbridge feed, automatically tailored to your territory if one is set, set the status of feed signals (Actioned, Starred, and more), and manage which bridges you’re subscribed to.
  • Buyer lists — create and update buyer lists by category, region, or name, or import them from a CSV or your CRM.
  • Account scoring — set up and modify your account scoring, including the competitors and complements you track.
  • Buyer signals & summary — pull recent signals for any buyer alongside their summary. Ideal for pre-call research.
  • Buyer contacts — find and enrich verified contacts at a buyer directly from Starbridge.
  • Deep buyer research — run one-off research across meetings, purchases, and RFPs that Starbridge has — even outside your existing bridges.
  • Sequences — build, preview, and start sequences from a bridge or for your team.
  • Users and settings — invite users, change roles, manage teams and tags, and update your organization profile.

Permissions

The MCP uses the same user roles as the Starbridge app. An action that needs a certain role in the app needs the same role in the MCP. For example:
  • You must be a Builder to create or update a bridge, a buyer list, or your account scoring.
  • You must be an Admin to invite users or change their roles.
Features that depend on your plan, like Sequences, RFP Writer, and CRM integrations, are only available through the MCP if your organization has them. If you ask for something your role or plan doesn’t allow, your AI assistant will tell you why it can’t do it.

Contacts and credits

Starbridge offers verified contacts with emails and phones. The MCP surfaces these verified contacts directly in your AI environment. Contacts in the MCP work on a simple locked/unlocked model:
  • A contact is unlocked if your organization has previously enriched it — whether through a bridge or in a previous MCP session. Unlocked contacts are fully accessible through the MCP at no additional credit cost.
  • A contact is locked if your organization hasn’t enriched it yet. Locked contacts are visible in search results with their title and buyer, but name, email, and phone are not revealed until the contact is enriched. Enriching a locked contact costs 2 credits and makes the full contact details available.
Every contact your organization enriches is available to everyone on your team — you’ll never be charged twice for the same contact.

Enriching contacts in the MCP

When you search for contacts through the MCP, any previously enriched contacts are returned immediately. For locked contacts, your AI assistant will show what contacts are available and offer to unlock and enrich them before surfacing the full details. You can unlock contacts one at a time or in bulk. For large requests (20 or more contacts at once), your AI assistant will always check in to confirm the bulk action. If you have a personal credit limit set by your admin, you’ll see that context surfaced alongside the enrichment option. Your admin can raise this credit limit at any time.

Other ways to enrich contacts

Contacts can also be enriched by running a Contacts Bridge, Job Changes Bridge, or Enrich Contact column in a Bridge. Any contact your organization has already enriched through a bridge will appear as unlocked in the MCP, and any contact your organization has already enriched in the MCP can be surfaced in a bridge at no additional credit cost. What’s not supported

  • Large-scale ad hoc analysis. The MCP is built for research on a single buyer or a small set of buyers, and for working with data already in your bridges. It doesn’t support ad hoc analysis across your whole territory, your TAM, or hundreds of buyers at once. If you’re a Builder, your AI assistant may suggest creating a bridge to run the analysis, then reading the results through the MCP. Otherwise, ask a Builder on your team to set up a bridge for it.

Any Starbridge user with an active seat can connect the MCP using their existing credentials. Data access and actions through the MCP follow the same territory, role, and permission scopes as the Starbridge app.
Yes. Any action you can take in the Starbridge app, you can take through the MCP, as long as your role allows it. For example, Builders can create and edit bridges, and Admins can invite users. See Permissions.
No. Starbridge skills now come with the MCP, so you only need to add the Starbridge connector.
